Constructed in 1962 by Swami Lakshmanjoo, this primary Ashram sits majestically in the foothills of the Zaberwan mountains, between the famous Mughal Gardens (Nishat) and Guptaganga, overlooking the Dal Lake.
It was named "Ishwar Ashram" because Swamiji was often referred to as Ishwar Swaroop (a manifestation of God). The grounds house the Amriteshwar Bhairava Temple, inaugurated in 1983, where Swamiji performed daily pooja irrespective of the weather.
We welcome devotees to stay and immerse themselves in the teachings. Booking is required in advance.

Jammu & New Delhi
A vital center for the Shaiva community, maintaining the Sunday pooja traditions initiated by Swamiji's devotees in the 1970s.
Serving the global and metropolitan seekers, the Delhi center facilitates study groups and continuous connection with the philosophy.
Maintaining the rhythm of devotion established by Swami Lakshmanjoo, our centers unite globally through these sacred observances.
Traditionally conducted in Swamiji's presence with the recitation of the Sri Gurustuti. Around 1970, Swamiji granted permission for devotees in Jammu and Delhi to also conduct this worship. Today, this unified convention continues across all centers.
Celebrated on Vaishakha Krishna Dwadeshi and May 9th. Historically, this was the only time Swamiji would meditate in public, entering Samadhi for hours. The Trust maintains this grand tradition annually with recitations, Prasad, and devotional hymns.
Honoring the day the Great Sage of Ishber departed his earthly life on September 27th, 1991. The Trust conducts an annual Havan (fire ceremony) at the Ishwar Ashram in Srinagar to commemorate his eternal presence in the absolute.
All three Ashrams share a unified digital space. Follow the official Facebook page for the latest updates on poojas, events, and daily wisdom from the tradition.
